Legal

Terms of Service

The terms governing your use of investQI.

Not yet in effect

This draft reflects how investQI actually works today, but isn't published as final, effective Terms yet — the legal entity offering investQI, its registered address, and a governing jurisdiction for disputes are still unresolved and can't be invented here. This page isn't indexed by search engines until those are in place.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a investQI account or using the investQI app or this website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use investQI.

2. Eligibility

Requires human decision

investQI doesn't currently have a defined minimum age for use, so this section can't state one — see the equivalent flag on Privacy Policy §17. You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use investQI.

3. investQI service description

investQI is market-information and intelligence software. It helps you follow companies you choose, tracks relevant news and market events for them, and summarizes and contextualizes that information — including with AI. investQI is not an investment adviser, and using investQI doesn't create an advisory relationship. See Disclaimer.

4. Accounts

You need an account to use investQI, created via Firebase Authentication with an email address and password (or Google Sign-In). You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity on your account. Email verification is available but not required to use the app.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use investQI for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to investQI's systems or other accounts;
  • scrape, systematically extract, or bulk-collect data from investQI;
  • reverse-engineer the app beyond what applicable law permits;
  • circumvent plan limits (e.g. watchlist size, alert caps) through automation; or
  • misuse Ask investQI or other AI features — for example, attempting to make them generate investment recommendations they're designed not to give.

6. Market information

investQI sources news and market-event information from third parties. This information can be delayed, incomplete, or occasionally inaccurate, and its availability can change. investQI doesn't guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

7. AI features

Some content in investQI is machine-generated. It can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, and is provided for informational context only — it's not a guarantee of correctness, and Ask investQI only answers a controlled set of supported questions grounded in investQI's own data, not open-ended queries.

8. No investment advice

Nothing in investQI — materiality scores, sentiment tags, AI summaries, Ask investQI answers, notifications, or Daily Brief content — is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything, a price target, or personalized investment or portfolio advice. See Disclaimer for the full explanation.

9. Subscriptions and paid features

investQI offers free and paid plans. Paid plans unlock a higher watchlist limit, a higher daily alert cap, and other plan-dependent features. Plan names, limits, and prices are determined by investQI's own systems and can change — we don't publish fixed prices in these Terms, since they're not fixed. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled. Access to paid features is confirmed against your account's actual subscription status, not assumed from a purchase alone.

10. Google Play, Apple, and Razorpay

Depending on how you subscribed, your payment is processed by Google Play, the Apple App Store, or Razorpay. Canceling your subscription within the investQI app updates your plan in investQI, but it doesn't necessarily cancel billing with the payment provider you used. If you subscribed through Google Play or the App Store, you may also need to cancel directly through your Google Play or App Store account to stop future charges there. We recommend checking your subscription status with whichever provider you paid through if you're unsure whether billing has actually stopped.

11. Refunds

Requires human decision

investQI doesn't have a published refund policy of its own yet. Purchases made through Google Play or the Apple App Store are subject to those stores' own refund policies and processes, which investQI doesn't control.

12. Service changes and availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features of investQI at any time. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

13. Intellectual property

investQI and its content, design, and branding belong to us or our licensors. Using investQI doesn't give you any ownership rights in it. We don't currently claim any registered trademarks here.

14. Third-party services and content

investQI relies on third-party services (including news and market-data providers, OpenAI, Firebase, and payment processors). We're not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party content or services, which are governed by their own terms.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to investQI if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. You can stop using investQI, or delete your account, at any time.

16. Account deletion

See Delete Account for how to delete your account and exactly what that does — deletion deactivates your account immediately, but doesn't instantly erase every record, and doesn't cancel an active subscription on its own.

17. Disclaimers

investQI is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. See Disclaimer for the full financial and AI disclosures, which these Terms incorporate.

18. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, investQI isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions made based on information in it. This section's enforceability depends on the governing law that applies to your use of investQI (§20), which isn't finalized yet.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of investQI. This doesn't apply to our own violations of these Terms or applicable law.

20. Governing law and disputes

Requires human input

The governing law and jurisdiction for disputes under these Terms haven't been decided yet. We won't assert one here without that decision being made.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as investQI changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date once these Terms are in effect.

22. Contact

A dedicated contact for legal questions isn't published yet. In the meantime, see Support.
